A custom luxury retreat taking full-vista advantage of its Beaver Creek Valley site

PARDUE RESIDENCE — BEAVER CREEK, COLORADO

Located in prime snow-skiing country, this luxury western retreat boasts 3,800 square feet of contemporary mountain living on a spectacular site in Beaver Creek, Colorado. EXLINE worked closely with local firm MORTER ARCHITECTS to develop this exciting and dramatic residential statement in the greater Vail Valley. With an emphasis on contemporary but contextual design, the massing of the structure symbolically reflects the multiple peaks of the surrounding mountain range.

The house plan takes full advantage of the dramatically sloping site and opens to five outdoor decks with spectacular views to the ski runs, adjacent golf course, and the valley floor below. Large interior volumes reflecting the grandeur of the mountain setting are organized around a dramatic central stair. The use of rugged indigenous stone and wood further the sense of contextualism, and add to the warmth of the contemporary home. After a day of skiing, residents and guests enjoy the crowning climax of a large partially–enclosed Jacuzzi–tub situated on the upper–most level of the house.
